This is one of those games that *really* stuck with me.
I've been dealing with a lot of dissociation and depersonalization the last couple weeks. Not the heaviness of depression, but kind of the opposite? Just feeling like eggshell and sawdust, the wires working my limbs more apparent than usual. When I was describing how I felt to my best friend I pulled out the text from the beginning of the game and read it verbatim. (My best friend knows me well enough — and knows how transitory my mood states can be, and how safe even the bad ones are — that her reaction was "oh, that's interesting!" instead of "oh, dear god!!") Anyway, it was both a useful way of communicating a peculiar mental state and an "I feel seen" moment, and it's got me wanting to play the game again — probably with the sequel this time!
(Also FYI, this page doesn't seem to link to the sequel, and I think it totally should so people know it's a diptych! I also love Recover.)
I'm currently in the middle of a playthrough, just finished my fourth page. I'm taking it slowly and playing one page a night so I don't get overwhelmed. I ADORE the OC I have created for this game and intend to expand on the character more. I originally started this game because I want to play the sequel, but I'm really enjoying what I've created with your prompts!

Going to be really tempted to put ‘all the diodes down my left side’ for the second question on page zero.

This gives me such a Pact (Wildbow webnovel) feeling. Was it an inspiration?
